The Ottawa Hospital is the result of an amalgamation of three former Ottawa
area hospitals: the Civic, General, and Riverside. With this newly formed institution,
the Ottawa Hospital needed a fresh on-line solution to provide much needed information
to its patients, staff, and health professionals.
With the speed of an emergency room doctor and the calculating approach of
a surgeon, MarketAccess delivered the perfect remedy for the Ottawa Hospital.
Using server side technology, the look and layout of the site is controlled
by six files. Templates were developed to reduce the effort required to maintain
the site. Using Microsoft Index Server and Active Server Pages (ASP), a language
specific site search was implemented. Multimedia elements attract the eye and
highlight key elements. The revised design accommodates the evolution of the
Ottawa Hospital and provides flexibility to grow. And, the project was completed
all within a scalpel sharp deadline.
The Ottawa Hospital was extremely pleased with the results of the project
