Employee orientation is an important first step after the hiring process. Often orientation is unorganized and goes untracked leaving the employee to their own devices to learn about the organization and how they fit within the organization's goals and objectives.

Canadian Heritage had completed a study and determined there was a requirement for the development of an on-line orientation program. Unlike a static orientation program, Canadian Heritage wanted an application to provide a unique orientation for each employee and provide on-line real time reporting of employee status.

Canadian Heritage selected MarketAccess to develop the project from the ground up starting with requirements analysis.

MarketAccess went on to:

• Develop user requirements/specifications
• Build a web site prototype to demonstrate key functionality prior to full development
• Created an interactive on-line employee orientation program using ColdFusion and Microsoft SQL Server

The project was implemented as a pilot and was so successful, it was implemented across the department with only minor changes. The client was extremely pleased with the results and the return on their investment.
