Canada’s new Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) comes into effect July 1st, 2014

If you send commercial email messages (CEMs), including but not limited to emails soliciting business, you need to be aware of Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) coming into effect on July 1st, 2014. Be aware that CASL also applies to social media.

This legislation not only applies to commercial businesses, but in certain cases can affect non-profit communications as well.

If you use our eCampaigner service, AcyMailing or civiCRM to send electronic messages, please pay special attention to this legislation.
